Parking at The White Hart, Lewes

We’re delighted to welcome you to The White Hart in Lewes! While we don’t have on-site parking, we offer a convenient drop-off point and several car parks within a short walk.

Here’s all you need to know about parking during your stay with us.

Drop-Off Point at The White Hart

Guests can use our drop-off point located to the side of the property. From here, you can access the building via:

  • The covered cobbled walkway leading to the front of the property.
  • Station Street: Walk up to the High Street to enter the Inn through the main entrance.

We kindly ask guests to be mindful of noise levels when parking, as we aim to ensure a peaceful environment for everyone staying with us.

  • Charges apply: Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm
  • Free parking: Monday to Saturday 5pm to 9am, plus all day Sundays and bank holidays
  • Cars can be parked overnight, but parking must be paid for daily.

Spring Gardens & Brook Street (4 to 5 minute walk)

  • Charges apply: Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm (standard hourly rates)
  • Free parking: Monday to Saturday 5pm to 9am, plus all day Sundays and bank holidays

Lewes Train Station (6 minute walk)

NCP Lewes Eastgate (8 minute walk)

  • Payment: NCP app (preferred) or pay machine
  • Rate: a 24 hour rate is available, valid for 24 hours from the time you park and pay. Once paid, it does not allow multiple entries.

County Hall (10 minute walk)

Available Friday after 5pm, Saturdays and Sundays only.

  • Charges apply: On Saturdays (9am to 5pm). Free on Sundays and bank holidays.
  • Pay and display. Cars can be kept overnight, but must be moved before 9am on Monday.

High Street On-Street Parking

  • Postcode: BN7 2XE
  • Maximum stay: 2 hours, Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm
  • Free parking: Monday to Saturday 5pm to 9am, plus all day Sundays and bank holidays
  • Blue Badge accessible bays are available directly along the High Street.
